On Friday, May 10, 2024, Strange Fruit Femmes will be partnering with Omaha’s Culxr House for our second Midwest Poetics program of the year.

We will be writing in response to 30 writing prompts shared by writer and poet Beau Sia. These writing prompts were in support of his goal to write 30 poems in 30 days.

For us who gather at Culxr House we will choose one of Beau Sia’s 30 prompts and write for an hour. You choose the form in which you would like your piece to take shape; short story, poem, song. Please bring something to write with/on and you prefer to meditate for the 40min-1hr writing session that is welcomed as well. The final hour we share together will be an opportunity for writers to introduce themselves and share what they wrote with the group.
